A man has been shot dead and two people have been injured with gunshot wounds in south-east London, the Metropolitan Police has said.

Officers were called at 10:10 BST on Sunday to reports of a shooting near Wells Park Road in Sydenham where they found a man with injuries who died at the scene.

A woman was also found with gunshot injuries to her legs and has been taken to hospital and her condition is not believed to be life threatening.

A third person later presented to hospital with what are “believed to be” gunshot injuries, a Met spokesperson said.
