American and men’s No. 4 seed Taylor Fritz has cruised into the second round after a straight-sets blitz over compatriot Jenson Brooksby 6-2, 6-0, 6-3, while 31st seed Francisco Cerundolo, of Argentina, won his first round clash against Alexander Bublik 7-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, the No.18 seed, has won his first-round match against Tallon Griekspoor 7-5, 6-4, 6-4 in 2 hours and 23 minutes.

Other men to advance to the second round today are: Denmark’s Holger Rune, Italian Matteo Berrettini, Karen Khachanov, Canadian Gabriel Diallo, Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic, and qualifier Cristian Garin, of Chile.

In the women’s draw, No. 9 seed Daria Kasatkina cruised past Viktoriya Tomova, of Bulgaria, 6-1, 6-3, while British star Emma Raducanu had a tight 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-2) victory over Ekaterina Alexandrova.

Other women into the second round today include American No. 8 seed Emma Navarro, China’s Yafan Wang, Ukranian No. 32 seed Dayana Yastremska, German Eva Lys, Daria Kasatkina, and No. 15 seed Beatriz Haddad Maia of Brazil.
